He started preparing me for the TransAlps Mountain Bike Stage Race last Fall by creating a fitness plan that maintained and built my fitness level through the winter months. Once outdoor riding season started, he created a riding schedule that included both mountain and road biking. I was in a car accident which injured my lower back and I was unable to keep up with my normal regimen.  I put on a lot of weight while still being too weak to work out.  I felt insecure and unhappy.  Upon healing (several months) my friend recommended that I see her personal trainer.  I met with Guy, he assessed my current physical level and designed a training program for me.  He trains you alone in his home so I didn’t feel nervous working out in front of others.  We’ve worked together for over a year and I am astounded with my progress.  I now have the confidence and attend a gym regularly.  I actually crave working out.  It has been both challenging and fun, but ultimately I feel stronger then I have ever been.   Guy has pushed me to work harder, the “kick in the butt” I needed to make great strides with my personal fitness level.  I hope to continue my training until I reach my goals, and I know I am well on my way.  A big thank-you to Guy for his patience, his humour, and his belief that I can do anything.

My husband was the first in our family to start training with Guy and I signed up soon afterwards, not wanting to be left out of the fun, nor the fitness.   Over the years Guy has also become a good friend and is now training our children as well.  His workouts are challenging, full of variety and very effective.  His knowledge and experience allows him to adapt the workouts to suit us individually and we always enjoy his encouragement and enthusiasm (even if we do complain!).  Working with a personal trainer is a great way to commit to a regular workout routine.  Guy will make sure the exercises are appropriate for you, that you have the proper technique and that you get the most benefit.  We have recommended Guy to many friends and continue to do so.  He must be good as we keep going back for more.
